Who would had thought it's almost, been a year since I've hosted a 'Top Billing' contest.
Every year I host a contest to 'give' honor to a poet for their work.
Last year I made the following offer:
Give me 100 poems or more to choose from and I'll give
1000 to gold
500 to silver
250 to bronze
and will give 1 HM for every 10 entries.
This year I'll give the same offer.

If you would like to enter this contest..... here are the rules:
Prompt: ANYTHING you want
Lines: Anything is okay, but please no books.
Style: Anything
If adult then mark it adult.
Give me your best poetry.
ONE CATCH: It must be written this year!
...and if it helps: I prefer fresh written poetry. If you give me a pre-written piece then it will have to blow my socks off....
I love nature, and music and art.
Be creative.
The GOLD winner will get

And still 1 HM per 10 minimal; this might go up depending on the entries.
If I get 100 + entries
I will give

I may also add a special prize for the best fresh write.
This contest will end no earlier than 15 entries & close to the end of August, but no later than August 30th. If I have 100+ entries I'll judge it when it closes on the 20th -- So tell your friends and neighbors....
I promise not to let who enters reflect on my decision... and if it helps ... I tend to be harder on Friends if I find out its you, because I hold you in such high regard 
If your a friend .... and will be crushed I didn't pick yours for gold, then please don't enter. I love you too much to lose you as a friend. I've entered plenty of contests where friends didn't pick me, and I didn't cry. As a friend I've entered contest to support my friend in having a great contest, not necessarily to win. If I did.... it was cause I deserved it. I expect the same from you. -- The decision is yours.

Any pieces moved to the finalist column will be done so for sorting purposes only.

I'll never tell, what will stay and what will be moved back.... I guess you'll just have to wait until its over.

- Final notes: First of all I wanted to thank each and everyone of you for submitting your work into my contest.
This 'was' a difficult contest to judge, the poetry was extrodinary! -- Though so different. Next year-- I'll stick to a theme.
I must also tell you there were at 'least' 10 poems listed within the 30 I felt deserved the 'gold' trophy. However, I only have one to give.
My reasoning for award:
Gold: A Portrait of a Sunset
just grabbed my attention-- I loved the imagery of a man who comes home and takes a moment to capture the end of the day.
Silver: Garden Meeting (Sonnet)-- I enjoy the allorement of love -- and the sense of humor it finishes with. -- Which also qualifies this as my Top Fresh Write: Your prize is additional 200 points -- for having the best Fresh write.
Bronze: LoveBeat
Also give an inspirational full of meaning type of write!
My Honorable Mentions are NOT in any kind of order....
AGAIN, there are about 10 writes that I would say are VERY deserving of the GOLD!
I hope you keep your poetry on my contest page.... Often times I do come back to share them with family and friends.
