GET YOUR POEMS OUT THERE

This will be the first in a series of contest that allows only those who are yet to win a trophy to enter (H.Ms may enter)or you have been invited
But winning points and a trophy is not what this competition is all about, its to help get your writes out there.
Judging the best poem is only part of it, the other part is...well you'll find out

I know it must be hard entering in contests against fellow poets that have so much talent, that's why i created this...so that you too may be heard.

Rules are simple:

- Check your spelling
- I'll allow pre-writes but a newly written poem will get you more points
- Anything goes, whatever topic you choose just don't bore me
- I like rhyme but it doesn't have to be
- Enjoy yourself

One more thing, it would be nice if you checked out the writes of your fellow contestants as-well. After all, this is what this contest is about. Getting acknowledged for your work (type "Maverick" in your authors notes so i know you've read this part. I won't disqualify you for not doing so, but don't be surprised if you don't get a comment on your poem) - Remember, good deeds are always rewarded. We will judge not only from the best write but also from...

All the best and good luck

Ken

I like this idea. I feel so rejected when I enter a contest and either lose or just get a HM. That always happens. ALWAYS! Then I feel so bad that I stop writing or I feel like I am not writing for myself, anymore. I sort of hate entering contests, but I always enter them, any ways. I don't know. It's confusing.

      Never stop writing my friend,
and never compare yourself with others too.
We are all poets in our own little way, bad or good...
it doesnt matter, what does matters is how you go about it.
      All the best

Oh by the way, I don't want to win contests because of the points and the trophies. One, I think the trophy images are kind of ugly. I like points, because then I can give them to other people, but I don't need those neither. It's just about having someone seeing your poetry and really enjoying it. I know poetry is for yourself, but it's nice to get approval, every once in awhile. I don't know. I just wanted to comment that your contest idea is pretty great.
