Okay. I won a Gold in this contest:
http://allpoetry.com/contest/2412271
and although I'm not feeling up to it, it's a PIF so I'm going to go with it anyway.
Spelling, grammar and poems written in standard English. No broken phrases for lines, and punctuation important but not mandatory.
Villanelles are not the easiest poetry form to master, and I am sure many of you do have prewritten ones, so I'm allowing them. However, please spare me the love, lost love, suicide, cutting and religious poems. Few indeed can write decent poems in those categories and I am already not feeling well. I'd prefer not to have to read really bad poems in those categories and be in the bathroom upchucking.
Good luck and have fun.

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on August 19, 2008
- Rewards: Gold: 500, Silver: 100, Bronze: 50, Honorable mention: 4 people
- Final notes: I must admit that I was much happier with the entries in this contest than I have been in some others lately, but still there were some really egregious errors here and there.
However, in the main, you've all done quite well. I would have given a few more HM's but I think 4 is really about all one should do in one contest in the normal course of events.
I would encourage all of you to keep writing, as there were no entries here that were actually bad (a remarkable feat for this site).
Thanks for entering. I might not have commented on all of the entries, as I am not feeling at all well, and it's quite a job getting through reading everything as it is. I did read them all multiple times however.
Good luck with your writing in the future.
