Easy-going, almost-objective introspection.
Sometimes you just have to get away from the big things.
Sometimes you see that there is nothing small to the scent of your lover's hands, to your dreams, to your passions.
Write about that place, that activity, that time you don't share.
Please, pen something simple, beautiful, and non-cliche. Poetic devices are your friends. Preferably nothing to do with your own home, as that would be common, and nothing life-altering, for obvious reasons.
I prefer short free-verse, but length is not an issue as long as you're not giving me a boring novel.
I may or may not comment and/or extend the deadline.
Rhyming is not encouraged simply because most people on this site who rhyme, use predictable end-line rhymes and force their poor poem into those rhyming words. However, internal rhyming, or highly creative and natural-flowing end-line rhyme, is okay.
Hope the prompt inspires you

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on August 26, 2008
- Rewards: Gold: 500
- Final notes: Man, *four* of the entries could have easily gotten gold! In the end I went with the poems that both spoke to me more and followed the prompt... but all five of you did a wonderful job. Thanks for the entries.
~Diana
