It's time for another Greeter appreciation contest!
This is a dedication type contest to honor our beautiful group of Greeters. We work hard and love our job. I want to take the time to hold this contest so they will see just how special they all are. That the impressions they make can and do last.
So let them know what their first comment meant to you... or how the answer to that question helped you out. Did they go above and beyond? Let's express a little appreciation and feelings of good will for our Greeter team. Be creative with it. Nothing negative will be tolerated.
options are:
-write a poem for one greeter who is special to you. (say thank you or just let them know what they mean to you).
-write a poem for the entire greeter team.
-use the screen name of a greeter to inspire your muse.

I will not make this a rule (only a strong suggestion)
we understand you are closer (more familiar) with certain team members than others but if there are already two poems for one Greeter please consider another for your entry. We do love and appreciate each and every member of our team and we want them ALL to feel that.
Rules:
-As stated, Nothing negative will be tolerated.
-pLeAse dO NoT tYpE LiKe ThIs.
-You may enter as many times as you'd like but only one poem per Greeter. So you can write and enter a poem for each greeter if you want but not two poems for the same person.
-You must put the screen name of the greeter(s) you write for/about either in your author's notes or in your title. If you are writing about the entire team then put "Greeter team" in your notes section.
-Other Greeters are allowed to enter. (I guess that is not really a rule but ... yeah)
-Any form... type and/or style of poetry is allowed.

- Final notes: I had to hand the judging of this contest over to Hekate and greyhaime, I thank you both very much as I was unable to make a decision here. Special circumstances leave me... speechless. I will come by each poem again if you would leave them in the list here.
I do want to thank you all for taking the time to enter. You all have written some lovely words. I appreciate it greatly.

I cannot imagine logging into Allpoetry and not seeing the wonderful team of greeters that we have assembled online and busy doing what they have dedicated their time and effort so freely and willingly to do. They have certainly added to the site in a very positive way and I for one can honestly say they are very appreciated. Not only do they greet new members, they often perform the task of answering simple questions and freeing up the mods to answer and deal with some of the more difficult matters that arise and I'm not sure many people are even aware of that. They are just a great bunch of people and they serve this site very well. Thank you all.
