~ I am taken back to walking on a new spring morning, and hearing the gentle ambiaunce of wind russle against the vinyl of my wind breaker ... as I mucked through the puddles in the dawn of the day, amid the dewy grasses beneath the flats of my feet, as I wandered about this world, in the days of my early youth. ~
~ The feeling of aloneness that I felt ... as my older siblings had all ready abandon me to their school busses, but not ever truly alone ... no, I know now, impowered, and finally able, I chose to walk this time alone. To do as I choose. To wander and explore the world around me. To take in the brilliance ... to mature at my own pace. ~
~ What envokes the soul in you, and brings your heart, an accomplished sense of serenity? What love's have you known, midst the blessings of of your days? Memories of childhood? Precious pearls, that you and you alone have come to know. and have proven, to hold true, and have given your heart, a lasting sense of peace? ~
Be it the sound of the wind, on vinyl, or the sight of cotten candy clouds, or the taste of an orange push up icy pop. Let your work show what provokes you to childhood memories?
I fancy this to bring you another honest time of promise. As it is my hope also that in your day and time, your exeriances will envoke in me as well, a broader, sense of peace.
This contest is for my darling girlfriends' 40th birthday on the 7th of August. She has been through a lot through the years, and has come this far in her life, and can claim, no regrets. I truely admire her for this, and feel that she is simply remakable in every way.
Show her your heart, and lay down your soul for the gift of God's love and for the precious treasures of your life, that we all have shared in and have been given.
Thank you for your efforts in this contest, and God carry you through to bring you to remember nothing but the very best, and most of all ... HAVE FUN!
Prose poetry, with a form kind of content. Rhyme, no rhyme is totally fine ... you be the judge of what may move you.

I am unclear precisely what you want. Do you want straightforward memories of childhood, or do you want poems about things that evoke memories of childhood? There is a difference...
