- Final notes: Thank you all for this tremendous turnout. I didn't expect nearly as many as i got so i apologize for the delay in judging. There were many terrific songs written, but writing is only half the battle, the other half is the music and melody that accompanies these lyrics they give it meaning and emotion. The winners either gave me a melody to grasp that sounded equally as beautiful or the lyrics were written in such a way that i could supply my own melody in my head while reading it. thank you all and goodluck in the future.

Just wanted to say no problem on not commenting on our entries. I had a feeling you would be swamped with them. But I wanted to thank you again for sponsoring this contest. I think people fail to realize how hard it is to tell a story in 3 or 4 verses and a couple choruses. And then set that all to music is a challenging artform.
