All of you have run contests that included or inspired a poem which ended up in my book. The contest title is the book title. If you prefer to use a prompt, feel free to use the title. If not, just have at 'er.

- Final notes: Well, that exercise reminded me why I don't often run contests. All of the entries were very strong, I'd say more so than any
contest I've been associated with judging. That said I had to make a decision before admin stepped in and did it for me. The top three resonated or struck me in some way that gave them a slight edge, but damn that was tough. Thank you all.

'Scuse me while I sit amazed about the inspiration bit. It's what I tell myself as a teacher: you just never know, do you?
Anyhow, I seem not to be writing poetry much these days, by choice. However, I am honoured by the invitation and just maybe it will be enough of a kick in the ass to get me started again.
oh, I spent weekend before last in Oakville and was thinking of you as we took the obilgatory drive to Niagara falls - my first time to that theme park - how the cities blend into one another out there, along the lake. One day, yeah, we'll meet?
