WW2 U-Boat Contest

*Sorry for the third extension. I have so few entries. This will be the last one I promise.*

I am looking for poems from the perspective of Sailors on board a Nazi U-Boat Submarine. Either during the years of World War 2, or shortly thereafter. I am not looking for graphic battle poems. I am looking for emotions, during the war or after, missing family, diary entries, letters describing emotions etc. It would help to portray their emotions as those of regular human beings, when the rest of the world paints them all as heartless wolves.
I am accepting both rhyming and non rhyming poetry, both are adequate, though I prefer rhyme.

Rules…Yes, rules: Obey

No English Profanity…(This means that if you feel the need to express yourself in the manner most sailors do, do it in German...just for fun)
And only poems pertaining to the subject matter.
Also, BIG also...I reserve the right to delete any poems that do not fit the requirements. Also, no poems that attack any race or religion. I think you know what I mean.

I am allowing prewritten poems, but that does not mean toss a random prewritten poem in my direction and pray I have mercy. If You happen to have a poem that has anything to do with what I am looking for, than, hey, more power to you.

Have fun.

I cannot imagine a pre-write for this prompt! But I can imagine a soon to be written poem. Which will then of course be a pre-write for another contest.

My dad was on a U-boat and got bombed in his first trip out in the English Channel. He was taken to Britain and then sent to Canada in a POW camp in Lethbridge for nearly 7 years, till the end of the war. He was treated so well that he got a sponsor and came back to Canada with his wife and two girls (me the oldest) in 1951. He often told me of the incident. He died when I was ten and my youngest brother was 2 days old, There were six of us by then. Makes an interesting story. Not sure I will have time to enter as we are leaving on holidays for two weeks. Thanks for hosting this though. Will make sure to read the entries later.

Ah, 'Tis humble I am to accept a trophy in this contest among such masterpiece poems as arrived here. I came to cast in my heart, for I am an old military wife and soldiers capture my imagination. Thank you, dear hostess, for the honor of the trophy and my admiration to the men whose poems came forward... they are masterworks.
