Hello dear poets!
This contest is for those who have not won a Gold trophy yet. Although it is suppose to be anonymous, I'll need the link to your author's page for verification, please
Contest Rules:
This contest must include at least 4 colors or textures of the poetic
tool box provided for you below this criteria:
Each must reflect a personal attribute or distinction of
your personality. It can be positive or negative, but should conclude
with an honest assessment.

erotica (excluding sensuous or romantic)
crazy lettering
profanity
Okay to street lingo as long as it is tastefully
and not wastefully used.
No more than 20-30 lines, please. I will make an exception
if your poem actually 'needs' to be longer, at which time I have
the right to determine that.

Tips:
Use the colors/textures succinctly but descriptively strong! That is what I'm looking for.
~ Stay away from cliché or trite phrases unless they are used in a fresh way.
Place which box you've used in your Author's Notes:
Color Box or Texture Box. If you use both, you must also indicate that.
Colors:White,Red,Lavender,Aqua
Textures:burlap, satin ,chiffon, cashmere
Have fun, but make sure you do the editing if it is suggested. This is
for GOLD, so write as if you will win it.
Thank you! I wish you the best!

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on November 25, 2008
- Rewards: Gold: 450, Silver: 150, Bronze: 90, Honorable mention: 3 people
- Final notes: Hello all entrants of this contest. Sorry for the long wait on this .
I was impressed how nearly each entry shows poetic ability of the author.
I do not apologize that I am particular and had hoped that some would strive for the narrow door of excellence.
However, due to the length of some and omission of using the criteria, I had to give up the ones I would have chosen! Some poems said too much with lots of filler words and florals which does not always improve the piece. Minimalizing is best. Even the ones who won the trophies still could use some shining up.
Don’t stop trying contests that expect a lot from you. That is
how I went to a higher rung, and I still try.
Thanks and bless each of you as you continue to polish your work!

-
now there's a challenge!
-
Just cos I'm not used to these kinda competitions...
The tool box, does this mean I can ONLY use the colours/textures you've set out for us??
Sorry If I sound a little dumb... -
-
Do not be silly. Not a dumb question at all.
Of course you can use other colors, fabrics, but the ones listed MUST be used or INCLUDED in the poem.
That is the challenge.
C'mon. Spin our heads with lots of good ones!
Thank you for asking.
