The Wages of Sin Are DEATH - a contest for TRUE religious zealots!

I want to read some prayers and hymns which emphasise the terrible punishments awaiting sinners. Far too few people realise that HELL is REAL. Your poems could also mention God's love and forgiveness as a reward for your admission of your evil ways, but remember that forgiveness is dependent on confession and penance and Hellfire is the punishment for repeated sin.

No wishy-washy liberal trash. And don't even dream of entering anything about "gay" bishops who marry other men, because God will CRUSH them to ATOMS and then BURN them ALIVE in HADES!

Enter up to three times each - pre-writes are welcome - anyone condoning sin will be damned by me and may the good Lord bless you if you are repentant.

Contest is Over

  • Contest was judged on August 4, 2008
  • Rewards: Gold: 300, Silver: 50, Bronze: 25, Honorable mention: 2 people
  • Final notes:
I WAS DISAPPOINTED IN THE LEVEL OF ENTRY FROM SO MANY PEOPLE. TOO MUCH RUBBISH ABOUT GOD'S LOVE WHEN WHAT I WANTED TO HEAR ABOUT WAS HOW HE WILL PUNISH FILTHY SINNERS BY HAVING THEM TORTURED HIDEOUSLY IN HELL AS THE GOOD BOOK SAYS. CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE WINNERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Heresy

    From Rory:
You write: "Hellfire is the punishment for repeated sin." We American born-again Christians know this to be false doctrine. We can get away with sinning any number of times because Jesus always forgives us, over and over and over.

No this is wrong. Satan has fooled you. One sin and you're OUT. Big time. So get down on your furry paws and pray, or down you go to canine Hades.

        Hades: greek, meaning Grave

        Sheol: Hebrew, meaning grave
dead people can't feel pain. Jesus forgives ALL repentant sin, anyways, eventually, all will be saved.

No you are wrong. Sinners will perish. If not, you would meet evil people like the entire Republican Party and all their supporters in Heaven, together with Hitler, Stalin and the Israeli cabinet.

God will do whatever he wishes, sadly, the bible is very misunderstood.

Eventually, all will be purified in the lake of fire, do you really think God can't do what he set out to? I think he can and will, which is why were not suppose to judge, were all in the same boat. PL

I hope and pray God has mercy on your soul. You are preaching a false doctrine and our a sad excuse for a Christian. And God does not look kindly on false teachers, which is what you are.

Obviously dogs and humans are better off joining our type of church rather than yours because we get away with a lot!

Yes He forgives us but true repentance does not continually repeat itself. If we Love our Lord we make an effort to be like Him.

Some people are morally weak, and far from able to be like Him. Despite their effort they do sin repeatedly and are forgiven anyway according to the churches I speak of.

yeh I see what your saying and it is hopefully true. I do however believe we are all judged justly on what is in our deepest heart and only God knows these things.
