So, on August 1 2008 will celebrate a two year wait for a Lunar Eclipse!!!! Can you guess what this contest is going to be about?!

When I was about 10-12 (can't remember) I was on a ferry going home and a lunar eclipse happened! I was soo excited, it was my first!, plus I got to see the Northern Lights to boot! It was breathtaking.

Now for this contest, I want poems about lunar eclipse, moon, magical moments under the stars, and that's about it. You stray from this and I will pull you out. NOT KIDDING!!!!

I am allowing prewrites, but fresh ones are preferred. If you really want to impress me try it under 30 words!! There is a catch for the prewrite, you can only enter once.

    I saw my first lunar eclipse. I tried taking a picture of it but it didn't work.

    You do know that on August 1 of this year it will be a total solar eclipse, right? Unfortunately for me, it is in the most norther parts of the earth. Would love to have watched it in person for my birthday. The one happening this year is a rare one and only comes around like every 80ish years.
    Good luck with the contest, will try to come up with something.

        The actual eclipse is going from the northern most parts of Canada over to China. So not sure you will see it. But I will be viewing it through the hundreds of cameras set up to watch it. Not the same, but best I can do right now.
