The answer is 42 (6x7)!
As a philosopher poet that loves depth of thought, I thought I would propose a contest that truly would encompass the most important questions that we have.
1. Do we exist?
2. Why do we exist?
3. What is our purpose?
4. Is there a God?
5. Who is your God?
6. What is the nature of God?
7. What is God's plan for us?
8. What is the basis of reality?
9. What is our power to change it?
10 What is the spiritual plane, hell, heaven and paradise
11. What is good and evil?
12. What is the difference between right and wrong?
These are the option I would like you to choose from. Write your personal answer to these questions in rhyme, prose, or short story. Use one of the questions or multiple questions.
This is my understanding. I'd appreciate if you gave it a read and a critique. Thanks, the link is http://allpoetry.com/poem/4471971
Silly Rules to follow:
1. Put option# or option #'s in your author notes.
2. If form poetry, list the form in your author note's
(sonnet, ode, terza rima). If you use metered rhyme you will get bonus points. Good punctuation and grammar also catch my eye. I like metered prose also.
Either Iambic Pentameter, Hexameter or Octometer.
3. Essays and short stories are welcome. Make sure they illustrate the option.
$. Have fun and go deep!
4. To get a prize tell me something I don't know or make me agree with your viewpoint or just take me to the 'restaurant at the end of the universe.' If a prewrite it better be quality or it won't win.
