Medieval/Historical related poems

Hey people! This is my first contest and I thought it will be exciting and fun to see peoples creativity with the subject of history.
I want fresh new compositions and prewrites relating history. Please submit poems of each, that would be great!

Be inspired by the links below or write straight from knowledge.
The poems can be based around the Black Plague (Medieval era), daily life (any era) the War of Independance (Scotland V.S England), WW1, WW2, Vietnam War....anything (before the 21st century)!!!!
Romance/sensuality is allowed aswell as erotica.

Due to this contest being over populated by pre-writes, I am going to limit it to only fresh pieces being submitted. Please use the picture links above as inspiration, secondary research or personal knowledge to compose your poems.

I hope I receive MASTERPIECES!!
Sincerely Emily

Thank you all who entered and I wish I could have given you all prizes because they were all outstanding compositions but, oh well I will arrange another contest where those who did not win can enter it. Congratulations on the winners, you're all mighty poets!!

    You don't have prewrites enabled.

    Great idea for a contest.

Please go back to the competition page - and change the necessary box, so that pre-written work becomes eligible...

But why restrict entries to only two per person?

And what is your cut-off date, after which events do not count as "history"?

I made a mistake with unticking the enabeling of prewrites but I fixed it now the cut-off date is anything before the 21st century. If you wish to enter, good luck!

    I'd have entered ...

if prewrites were open, but I don't feel up to writing just now. I see others did enter prewrites, so evidently you did have it open before.

Good luck with the contest anyway.
