I will not judge you by your situations. I am a very open minded person and a very compassionate one at that. Remember however, I will not reward based on pity, I will reward based on quality of work. I wouldn't mind using this contest to make friends as well, so don't be afraid to let me in.
I prefer prose-poetry or free verse. If you'd like to know what I mean, read some of my stuff. I won't dq you for rhyme, but just note that if you're just trying to rhyme because you think it has to to be poetry, I will notice and your chances of winning will be lower.

3. NO LINE LIMIT. write me a book if you have to. no matter. I'm here to read/listen.
4. DO NOT reserve space. If you're going to submit just submit. Don't tease me.
5. Most important: CELEBRATE DIVERSITY! Anything goes. Homosexual, drugs, society, darkness, emotional/emo, fantasy, humor, love... anything. BE NICE TO OTHER CONTESTANTS. Write what you need to to make you feel better or whatever, but as far as being harshly overcritical of other submissions especially over subject matter--I find it unnecessary and cruel. Whatever their situations, be considerate of others' feelings and that they don't need your input to live.
