I just like something that makes me f e e l.
Whether it be heartwrenching, missing something or someone, truly empty, completely infatuated with life, or just leaves me in awe.
I'm really looking for something inspiring. Something to motivate me. Something to strike a spark in me.
I want a poem you put your heart and soul into.
I want to know how you feel.
I want to know.
I don't have categories.
I really like freeverse.. I really like something that flows.. It doesn't necessarily have to rhyme. Rhyming is good sometimes. I love sonnets. I don't mind long poetry. I have patience. So please, make it striking and intriguing. Dirty and Pretty. Glitter and Stars. Heartbroken and Wistful. Addicted and Hopeless. I'm a former drug addict and I know I can relate to others in the same boat. I love well placed text art. Just impress me. I know someone will. <3
If you are seriously stuck, my poetry will give you examples to the way I like to see things. Like to relate to things. Like to feel things. Like to detail simple things. Maybe it will help spark something in someone to help inspire something in me.
I will comment on each and every poem. I will be tough, I will give constructive criticism, and I will appreciate every entry in this contest.
As long as you promise me you'll give me your best.
xoxo
First place will get my 1100 points. I wanted to give more.. but I'm so unmotivated to read or write so I'm hoping holding this contest will give me the new outlook I'm trying to find.
Second place will get 600.
Third place will get 300.
There will be five honorable mentions.
So help me out people.. I can't wait to see what you can piece together. Seriously. I'm excited. <3
So show me what you are made of.
xoxo
Sincerely,
__shelly.
P.S. So I know you read through this, I would like you to put the words "I can't shake this little feeling." I won't disqualify you if you don't, but it would be appreciated to know you read this and are ready for the challenge. Thanks.
