Well, this is my second contest. My first one did really well; I got a lot more entries than I expected. Now that I have more points, I’m really excited to do another contest.
My other contest was an option contest, but this one I’m looking for something more specific. I want suicide. No, you don’t have to commit it, but I want you to write me a suicide note. The note can be to anyone you want: parents, family, friends, boyfriends/girlfriends, anyone. Write about how you feel, why you’re committing suicide, I'm really looking for emotion. Hard-hitting, heartfelt emotion.
Make it heartfelt, make me feel what you’re feeling. I want to be moved by your poem. The person who can make me feel what they are, or who moves me the most will be the winner.
Also, while it doesn't have to rhyme, and I enjoy all types of poetry, I do enjoy rhyme more. So if you can rhyme (well mind you) you'll have a better chance of winning. Probobly.
Rule Time:
1. No sticky caps. It's really annoying...
2. Spell check. I’m pretty lenient with spelling, but still, some stuff is just bad.
3. Proper grammar. This includes capitalization. Like capitalizing ‘I’ or ‘I’m’… it’s just a pet peeve
4. Swearing is ok, sometimes it’s necessary to express yourself
5. Enter as many times as you want
6. Put your name in the your notes please, so I don’t give the same poet two trophies.
7. I’m not allowing pre-writes at the moment. If you have a poem that really fits, message me and we’ll talk.

Edit: Well, I've gotten quite a few messages asking to put pre-writes into my contest. I'm looking for more of the fresh writes, but I think I can comply. I'm going to open the pre-write option for a limited time. It will be up starting today, July 21st, and end on July 28th. I will not extend that date no matter what, so get your pre-writes in before that!
Prewrite only allowed until July 28th.
