Okay. Same bizzo as usual; five options etc., etc. But I’m being a bit more pernickety about rules this time. So rules first:
- Option in Notes
- Has to be relevant to the prompt!!!!!
- Prewrites/multiple writes are fine BUT (and I‘m gonna get really pissed off about this) I do not just want to read five prewrites from one author. So new rule: IF YOU ENTER MORE THAN ONCE AT LEAST ONE HAS TO BE A NEW WRITE!!!!!
- Not a rule, but I’m partial to free verse and I don’t mind dirty-pretty, as long as it’s well done.
- Oh yeah, and no erotica.
Now that I’ve gotten that out of the way, the options:
1. GODOT, WAITING FOR. A play, for those of you who don’t know, by the illustrious Samuel Beckett. Write about it, write something similar to it or just be inspired by one of these quotes.
VLADIMIR: What do we do now?
ESTRAGON: Wait.
VLADIMIR: Yes, but while waiting?
ESTRAGON: What about hanging ourselves?
POZZO: Have you not done tormenting me with your accursed time! It’s abominable! When! When! One day, is that not enough for you, one day like any other day, one day he went dumb, one day I went blind, one day we’ll go deaf, one day we are born, one day we shall die, the same day, the same second, is that no enough for you?
VLADIMIR: Well? Shall we go?
ESTRAGON: Yes, let’s go.
[They do no move]
2. GUIDE. Take that any way you can. Surprise me.
3. GUELDER ROSE. A pretty flower. Don’t take this literally and give me a description of this bush, okay?
4. GUARD. Or guardian, I suppose. Just give me something interesting to read.
5. GOD. I don’t want ANY religion bashing or religious promotion. I’m thinking more mythical stuff, like Osiris and Zeus and Venus and all that.
So go for it and good luck!

... we'll hang ourselves tomorrow.
by the way, i totally knew you were going to do Godot and God as prompts for this one. psychic.
oh and? i've been ignoring this modern history assessment (2000 word essay on stalin) all holidays, like, i didn't even LOOK at it. and then i pick it up today and it's due on wednesday. i am so unbelievably screwed. why do i do this to myself????
if school goes back tomorrow i'm not going to be there because i've told mum and dad it goes back tuesday so i have an extra day to get this shit DONE. gahh. -

I love Waiting for Godot, existentialism enthralls me, but G is for.... Gaia.
-
Or wait, Gaea, a Greek mythological goddess whose name begins with G.
-
-
Gaea is a God...so thus i'd love to read bout her...
