I was just awarded my 200th trophy here on AllPoetry by the wonderful Keira for my poem Razor Licks & I feel like celebrating.

When I first joined AP in 2006 I never dreamed I would achieve this and I feel so honoured that so many beautiful and talented poets here like my work, you really like my work! … Sally Field moment here! .lol.

Usually my contests don’t go too well, especially Quote contests but I am hoping ya’ll be nice and enter ... I am in a good mood so looking forward to this

I am putting the Rules here because there’s a lot in the options so you won’t read the rules if they are under the Options.

Please do NOT enter your poem in this contest and another at the same time.
This is my main rule in every single contest because it annoys me when people do this, I find it rude and I will DQ you!

Combine options if you wish just don’t forget to tell me which ones in the Authors Notes!

YES that is a rule that I would like you to follow as comments are part of the basis of AP and it helps us grow as poets when we know what people think of our words.

Option One - Dedication
.
Write a letter to someone you love, miss and/or appreicate. Show me why you love them. Be it someone here on AP or a real life friend or family member

Option Two - Haiku
.
Write a Haiku about a tree … I like trees
(Haiku (also called nature or seasonal haiku) is an unrhymed Japanese verse consisting of three unrhymed lines of five, seven, and five syllables (5, 7, 5) or 17 syllables in all.)

Option Three - Acrostic
.
Do an acrostic with your own name, but make is funny, pick on yourself laugh and have fun!
(Acrostic Poetry is where the first letter of each line spells a word, usually using the same words as in the title)

.
Pick your favourite song and write a poem using the name of the song as the title; please do not re-write the song, use the title and the words of it to inspire you to write something. It is your favourite song for a reason
