To get the template to open as PNG instead of black you must:

right click on the template ... SAVE AS ... find a folder for it ... then open your picture program ... find the folder then the template and then open.

It will not work to just COPY / PASTE

PAINT IT FORWARD [Calendars]
This contest is for the artsy poets out there – Let’s make a calendar *happy*
Gold winner will be asked to PAINT IT FORWARD with another GRAPHICS contest.
{[-Please do not enter if you are unwilling to host the next contest-]}
Stretch em, skew em, flip em, pattern em,
tile em, border em, fade em, whatever em...
1. Be innovative!
2. USE EFFECTS they are your friends
3. SIGN your work please, and give credit to others artworks if you use them
4. Enter up to 12 times each a different month
5. Have fun painting
6. You can also put a short poem or quote on your calendar, please give credit though
7. AND ... just incase we get a few of Ms. or Mr. January's please catagorize the entry propery in the adult but keep it tasteful please.

I will judge based on innovation, creative effort and finished work's appeal.
Number of Honorable Mentions awarded will be based on number of entries.
Prewrites are open to give you the option of working on your calendar on your page before you submit it here

Right click and say "save as..." then open it up in your graphics file

The template would not open for me in PSP, so I made my own. Not hard at all!
