Somebody once said that one day can seem like a lifetime--on the other hand a lifetime can seem as if it has gone by in one single day.For me personally this year seems to have flown by in one single day and before we know it autumn will be upon us in its multitude of colors. I happen to like that season. Paint it for me in your words, make me experience it through your eyes, sights, sounds, scents, memories, dedications to that season, anticipations of it.....its festivals and celebrations etc.
No prewrites, all forms are accepted. If you rhyme please make sure it is good rhyme. If you are using any particular form [I am not familiar with some] please note in your author comment.
No more than 28 lines please. I will read at my leisure and comment on each entry shortly before closing the contest. Will close on or about August 22, or after 35 entries. I will judge farly and do not see the need in an anonymous contest. It does not matter if you are on my fav list...this will maybe give me a chance to get to know a new writer.
Please check here now and then if there are any updates. I am sort of taking the summer off from writing myself, but do try to stop in and read now and then. I will read each entry thoroughly at least twice before judging.I am offering a fair amount of points, please do your best.Please do not reserve a spot, just enter before the closing date.
