Rhyme - Sonnet, Villanelle, or Pantoum only.

Something different. Spare me the love poems, the lost love poems and the religious poems (unless they can stand with those of Milton or Gerald Stanley Hopkins. No bashing. I'm not feeling well, so don't feel up to dealing with any of that.

Spelling, grammar, and punctuation essential. No punctuation, no trophy.

Do not enter poems which have won in my contests before.

Thanks.

Have fun.

Contest is Over

  • Contest was judged on July 31, 2008
  • Rewards: Gold: 300, Silver: 100, Bronze: 50, Honorable mention: 4 people
  • Final notes:
I'm closing this early since I'm not feeling well and don't feel up to dealing with 3 open contests at a time when I've been inundated with entries in one of the others.

I think I had some remarkably good poems entered here, and there are others that are good enough to win in other contests. However, I think 4 HM's is enough for one contest.

Thanks to those who entered and I hope to see you again in other contests. Good luck with your writing in the future.
