5 OPTIONS
Rules:
1. You may enter up to 5 times -- ONE ENTRY PER OPTION -- [Meaning: If you were to enter two poems one could be option 4 the other is option 1]
2. YOU MUST PUT your OPTIONS in the Authors NOTES 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5. However You may NOT choose Multiple Options for one piece. You decide which one you think it best represents. I WILL NOT decide for you. If multiple options have been put in the Authors Notes I will consider it to have NO option at all.
3. Any Line limit is allowed --
[Suggest the longer it is ... it better be good]
4. IF YOU ENTER A POEM that ONLY ADULTS should read -- Than MARK it ADULT. Anything not marked and inappropriate will be removed from the contest.
5. This 'is' an anonymous contest -- lets keep it that way...
6. If you have a pre-write that fits one of the options your welcome to enter it.
7. Have fun!
If I have enough entries I will give at least one award for each option.
To clarify. If I have 5 entries -- each entry is from a different option then I'll award 5 entries minimal. I will NOT add awards until I have the entries.

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on July 29, 2008
- Rewards: Gold: 300, Silver: 150, Bronze: 75, Honorable mention: 31 people
- Final notes: First, I'd like to thank you for entering my contest
I enjoyed the different poems and takes on the prompts.
I would also like to list my options with the top poems in each.
Option 1: The Photo Prompt – (A firefighter carrying a small child)
The Face of Fear
Option 2: A title prompt: “To the Moon” - Though no one used the 'title' but did use the prompt, my mistake for not being clear.
My Night Friend
Option 3: Word bank – must use a minimum of 6 of the words
Shadow in the litter
Option 4: Quote Prompt – (Quote was not required, but should be reflected.)
I do not
Option 5: True History - (I thought would be tough but, the number of entries in this category clearly shows how much history effects us.)
Mourn this Abomination
Out of each of the top 5 – I choose the Gold, Silver and Bronze based on who best completed the objective of the prompt for that objective.
Those who received a honorable mention:
1st there is no order to the honorable mentions.
2nd I want you to know there are many in this category
that had I ran 5 contests separately I would had love to
give you silver and bronze. Which makes me think
I might try to pull off a option contest that links to
another contest so I can do it. I hope you look for it.
3rd. I do appreciate the entries – You all did an amazing job.
Thank you all again... I truly hope you had fun...
and if you 'don't' agree with my decision or question it
please feel free to ask me how I decided, I'll be happy to
share with you. I'd rather talk about it then get ignored.
We are all human – and life is a learning lesson.
