Give me your favorite Prewrite

Everyone gets one entry.

I want the best poem you have ever written.

Give me the prewritten poem that is your favorite. It may have won no trophies, or it may have won ten golds-I don't care. I'm not going to judge based on how many trophies it has won or how much other people like it.

Please think before entering. Select the poem that YOU think is the best, not the poem you think I will like. I would prefer if you included, in your author's notes, a short mention of WHY this is your favorite poem. If you can't think of how to do this, you don't have to, but it would be nice.

You may enter a poem about any subect. Any style. There are no rules. Any adult material should be marked appropriately.

I want this to be the hardest contest I ever judged. I want to read some awesome poetry. I want to be blown away.

I am dedicated to commenting on every single poem entered. I may or may not be able to do this before judging, but I will get to it eventually.

I am hoping to get a wide range of poems. Contest may close early based on how many entries I get.

Points may increase.

I can't wait to read your stuff.

Contest is Over

  • Contest was judged on August 9, 2008
  • Rewards: Gold: 500, Silver: 250, Bronze: 125, Honorable mention: 8 people
  • Final notes:
I have finally finished judging! And yes, as I expected, it was a very hard contest to judge. There were a lot of great entries. If you made it to the finalist list, congratulations. If you didn't, don't feel too bad, there were a lot of great poems that didn't make it and were still deserving of reccgnition.

To the winners- double congratulations. I encourage everyone to check out their poems.

    Thanks to all!
