So I'm going to run a series of these - all co-relating with ... wait for it ... my current mood swings. They change often, but these will reflect the majority of the time period. This time I'm stuck in tough decisions and trying to please people but trying to breathe enough to make this life worth living. It all seems to fade.
As always, rules first.
Rules:
No love. No questions asked. No religion. I don't even want to see the word "god" or anything similiar or even his attributes [heaven, hell, etc] No erotica/sensual. I don't see how it fits. No emo. Credit the author/artist of whatever material you use.
Other Notes:
I'm straight-forward when commenting. It may come across as harsh. ^ At times, I tell you what is bad about a poem even if I completely love it. Go figure. Rhyme, free verse, whatever. Just give me your best. Points may increase. It almost always does.
Options:
Picture: Tower of Babel
Picture: Cutting the Edge
I talk to God, but the sky is empty.
- Sylvia Plath
“That's the whole trouble. You can't ever find a place that's nice and peaceful, because there isn't any. You may think there is, but once you get there, when you're not looking, somebody'll sneak up and write "Fuck you" right under your nose.”
- J. D. Salinger
I like too many things and get all confused and hung-up running from one falling star to another till i drop. This is the night, what it does to you. I had nothing to offer anybody except my own confusion.”
- Jack Kerouac
“I can't explain myself, I'm afraid, because I'm not myself, you see.”
-- Lewis Carroll.
“Reason has always existed, but not always in a reasonable form.”
- Karl Marx
I spend a lot of time looking for reasons, for answers... but you can't find what's not there.
- One Tree Hill
Their own minds had fed the exaggeration, making them see things, imagine things, that did not exist.
- James Herbert [from book: The Dark]
"There are no facts, only interpretations."
- Frederich Nietzsche
I'd rather if you didn't use any part of the quote or lyric in your poem or title.
I want emotion. I have enough apathy to last a lifetime - give me emotion .
Read the rules again,
and Good Luck.

... disappointment = pleasing people ... that is unless you stand on your head, spin around continuously[remember, don't die or live], perfectly granting wishes ... ughm.
But, I understand. -
-
It's something you do when the people you're tying to please are people close to you ... like your parents.

Hi. My name is Char-Lee, I am Bi-Polar, and one of my fave songs is "They're Coming to Take Me Away" by Neuroticfish. lol I was happy enough trying to clean before my friend comes tomorrow, then the mop broke and I had to cry. If NEVER... put on a happy poem contest it wouldnt matter, I'm rarely happy without laughing like a madman (hence BI-POLAR DISORDER, FOOL LOL)
