Traveling Abroad

Hi all! Thanks for clicking!

I just got back from my trip to Germany, which was AMAZING, so I thought: Hey, I bet I could make a contest of this. And guess what? I did!

I want you to write my a poem about traveling abroad. Unfortunatly, I can't make it as broad as that. Your poem has to deal with one of the subjects below:

Leaving your friends behind
The joy/sadness of returning home
Homesickness
Never wanting to return home
The wonder of seeing new things
Learning about a new culture

If you have any questions, concerns or sugesstions feel free to message me!

Basic rules apply: No bashing, no swearing and so on - basically: don't be stupid!

Keep in mind that I am only 12, so I need to be able to read your poem.

I'm allowing prewrite: but they really need to relate to the subject your writing about, otherwise I will DQ you.

    You've been to Germany, cool! That's where I live... Where did you go and what did you do?
    I've arrived in England today, so I'm hoping to write something for this contest soon...

      You live there? That's really cool! It's such a beautiful country. I went a lot of places and I don't remeber the names of any of them except for Munich We did A LOT of stuff (I was there for a week and a half) and it would take forever to recount it all. I went up the Zugspitze (sp) in a cablecar, toured a salt mine, went to a lot of palaces and castles - most of them belonging to Ludwig II. I did tons of other things too. It was a wonderful trip! Thank you and I hope you enter

        I just remembered some more town names: Oberstorf, Rofenburg (a medieval town) and Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Don't rely on me for the spelling of any of them except for the last one.

    Cool! I'm German!
    I JUST got back from Australia... if my muse wasn't being stubborn I would soooooo write a poem for this!!
    I was in Australia for 18 days!!
    It was schweet!!!!
