(the pic is just one of three of my dogs, charging around the moors you can use it as inspiration if you want, there names are de man, the jack, rottie with pink collar is lady, and rottie with black collar is hooch if you want more info like character and such, then ask, my rotties are not visious so dont miss judge, de man how ever likes a good strop lol.)
i am looking for poetry about your dogs, especailly if your dog does a job, i am currently doing a course where i am writing an article about dogs and there jobs, so if your dog has a job or you know someone who has a dog with a job, be it hearding, guarding, search and rescue, hunting, or theropy dogs. doesnt matter if they have a job, any job tell me about it, in your aurthors notes, and also state if you would mind me using the infomation in my article, anyone who helps me will get recognition in the article which may at a later date be published.
the article is to celebrate how specail dogs are to peoples lives, be they simple pets, or doing a job.
and i need people who work with these animals, to tell me what they mean to them.
so celebrate your dogs in this poem, it can be as long as you want, about anything at all, as long as there is a dog in it obviously, weather your dog, someone elses dog or just a dog you have observed, doesnt matter.
just poems about dogs.
and as i say if you have or know a working dog, then please tell me about them in your notes. the same if you know of any un-usal doggie jobs.

- Final notes: so the contest is over and there were some brilliant poems making it really hard to choose, first place goes to puppy dog tales, a brilliant poem that made me laugh was very well written, and reminded me of my own little puppy poppy, i had to read this over and over it was so good.
second place goes to blind mans bluff, if you read it you'll know why it was so funny, really well writen a joy to read.
and third place goes to idgie, a lovely poem that shows there are still good people in the world so heartfelt, it had me in tears.
well done to all the winners, and thank you to everyone for entering.
i really enjoyed this it was brilliant fun, good luck for all your comps in the future.
