Pick an object and make it come to life, speak wisdom, ridicule the world, or whatever you want it to do through personification.
You can pick from the following or come up with an object of your own.
teapot
cardboard box

shoes
tree
waterfall
attic stairs
Place the object you've chosen in author notes.
Be tasteful. I don't care for profanity as a rule.
I like succinct poetry that makes good use of poetic device.

Plain backgrounds.
Prewrites allowed provided they conform to the above rules.

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on July 15, 2008
- Rewards: Gold: 500, Silver: 200, Bronze: 100, Honorable mention: 6 people
- Final notes: This was a really fun contest to host. I enjoyed each entry. The variety of styles and perspectives made judging a challenge...so many good choices for the trophies. I had to add some HM's (which are in no particular order). Thank you all who entered and I hope to see your work in future contests of mine.
