And I wanted to return the favor by hosting my second contest. This is your prompt. I like dark, abstract poetry that uses metaphor wisely.


These are the dreaded rules:
1. Since I'm allowing prewrites. A new poem and a prewrite are fine.
2. No more than 50 lines. Novels aren't my thing.
3. Use metaphor wisely, don't overuse it... It gets confusing
4. nO tyPINg LIkE ThIs....I will get irritated
5. I want extremely dark, emotional poetry
6. Minimal cutting, cussing used sparingly is fine.
7. No erotica
8. Spellcheck, spellcheck, spellcheck... Enough said
9. In your authors notes write: The Darkness
