Favorite Things PIF

Favorite Things
I recently won a Pay It Forward contest in a
'Favorite Things' theme begun by Nicolette in this contest.

http://allpoetry.com/contest/2408259

How long can we keep it going? It has gone from Nicolette,
through Ardent March to me, then Pamela A Lamppa, then back to me! Surprise! and now onward...

Winner please pay it forward to keep the theme alive.

I would like to read poems inspired
by three more of my favorite things

(pick one or combine them)

a blank page
an open fire
blue jeans

Usual rules, you know what to do...

Contest is Over

  • Contest was judged on July 21
  • Rewards: Gold: 600, Silver: 300, Bronze: 100, Honorable mention: 10 people
  • Final notes:
Thank you all for entering, and writing about some of my favourite things. You have given me new ways of seeing them, and also a nearly impossible task - that of choosing the order for judging. Gold went to the entry that spoke of being blocked, prevented from writing, and that's a very scary loss. The next five were, in my opinion, equal - but I had to make a decision. The rest are in no particular order, because by then I doubted myself too much!

      Hi, and congratulations!

You now run a contest, and use 300 of the points you won towards the first prize. Please call the contest by the same name, and use as prompt three of your favourite things! You could copy and paste the wording from my contest page if you wanted to, just changing where appropriate; that will save you a lot of work! (It's what I did!)

It's fun to see how far this contest will go - maybe I should start a column, and paste the winners of each round there.(Hmmm. Not a bad idea - must remember to do it.)

Call the contest a PIF, Pay It Forward, and ask that the winner do the same. That's about it, really. Ask me if you have any problems - but I don't think you will. If you do have a writing block, reading contest entries should get something stirred up! Good luck!
