A contest, but nice suggestions for critiques would be appreciated from everyone. (not mandatory, just something that would help us all) This is like the workshops we haven't had for awhile, but all of us could benefit from them. I will comment on all of them, and leave suggestions if I think they are needed. I will let you choose what format for haiku you prefer. (I will not comment for a few days, I am out of town and out of net where I am going, I will start commenting late Tuesday or Wednesday)

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on July 24, 2008
- Rewards: Gold: 300, Silver: 200, Bronze: 100, Honorable mention: 10 people
- Final notes: Thank you for a great Haiku workshop. There were some awesome haiku!
1st place: a whole day
A great haiku, you can see the images so clearly, and think on it.
2nd place: two toadstools
Something you could see on a daily walk, with deeper meanings in each line.
3rd place: Shrine of Remembrance
I liked that this could be any special place, and the images of looking closely and feeling the warmth of the flame hold multiple meanings.
HM's: not in any particular order, but I gave several for improved revision, which is the purpose of a workshop.
Thank you again, I hope we do this again soon.
