This Is Who I Am

I want you to scream at the society for not accepting you for who you are. i want poems that let them know that you won't be pulled down by their insults. I want poems that let them know that you won't change for them.

If you want examples, you can check out my two latest poems: "Who I Am" and "Can't You See."

Rules:

1) Please make sure your poems are grammatically correct. I am obsessed with grammar. i won't DQ you, but it'll make you less likely to win.

2) Make sure that it is completely original and completely from you. i don't want any rewrites or poetry you wrote from a quote or picture. I want poetry inspired purely by your wish to be accepted.

3) Prewrites are allowed, but please note that you will gain more respect and consideration from me if you write something new.

4) I will be giving constructive critiscism. Make sure you're open to having your work critiqued before you enter. I don't want to offend anyone because they expected for me to say it was the best poem I've ever read.

5) I want you to comment on one other entry. Everyone should be commented on by by me and at least one other person, so if they've already been commented on by another entrant, comment on somebody else. Give insight and constructive critiscism to the poem. Don't just say "It's amazing!" and move on.

6) Put the name of the poem you commented on in your AN. that way i know you did it and I can evaluate how much insight you gave. Your comment has a part in the contest too, so if you don't do it you don't have a chance.

7) Sorry, only one entry per person. It keeps it fair.

MAKE SURE YOU READ THE RULES. SOME OF THEM ARE IMPORTANT AND WILL HELP YOU IN THE LONG RUN. YOU DON'T STAND A CHANCE IF YOU DON'T READ THEM.

Have fun with it. The best poetry comes from people who enjoy writing it. Good luck to all!
