Cartoon Illustration Inspired! PIF

I won Gold in Riftkin's contest with this entry and am now PIFing 300 to the next winner, who I do please ask to PIF next time...

Now on to our regularly scheduled contest.

Years back I was asked by a friend to create a cartoon character for his webdesign business. He's no longer using it, so I thought it would be fun to give Merby another life: a contest prompt!

What has our li'l friend done? What is he thinking? Make it fun, short and sweet! Nothing vulgar or rude.

The fine print:
~20 entries
~Gold PIF 300
~No anti-religion/God
~No line limit (please be reasonable!!!)
~Rhyme, free-verse, whatever floats your boat
~No FunKY WrITinG or chat speak, keep cursing to a minimal (if needed at all), blah blah blah...
~I'm not picky about form or format, don't worry! I've had my own worked picked thru by people who think that I can't learn from my own experience, so I won't be picking yours apart. To quote from one of my pieces, "Art is not for critics" ~ from Symphony of Blood
~This site does offer a spell check, so I do at least ask you use it!

    I know that I stretched this out a few extra days, more competition/more suspense/more fun! But alas, Merby's time in the sun is done. This was no easy task, judging stories about our lil wayward wizard wannabe who made the mistake of jumping the gun! Ok, I'll end the dramatics (yes, I can hear your "thank you"s...).
