I'm looking for unique styles in poetry --
Anything NEW you wish to write... Knock yourself out ...
The contest has now been converted over to save the contest from being cancelled. IF you STILL want to follow the original request -- you're guaranteed a seat in the finalist.
Points go up as entries come in.
You must put the name of your creation in your Authors Notes
along with how to write it.
Poems can be about anything you like:
Happy - Sad - Dark - Bright
Your writing a sample/example of poetry
which reflects your creation.
You may use any prompt you wish to write about.
You think it you write it!
Any line length.
Make sure you mark it appropriately!
Points go up as entries come in.
I will judge fairly--I have it as not anonymous because somehow many entries in my contest click stars or send me messages back. I feel it is unfair to allow everyone the same opportunity.

This contest is opened to everyone ~ If you'll think you'll end my friendship because I don't choose your poem then don't enter.
I value my friendships more than seeing your support in my contest. Although I hope you will get in ~
Gold will be who has the MOST unique style in form
and compliments the poetry written.
I reserve the right to cancel or extend the contest until a minimum of 15 entries has been entered.
I am not changing the closing date.... if I don't have 10 I'll have no choice but to cancel, I'm sorry.

- Contest was judged on July 14
- Rewards: Gold: 300, Silver: 150, Bronze: 75
- Final notes: I'm closing the contest -- However, I'm not cancelling it. It just didn't take off the way I thought it would.
All three of you did a fabulous job in your creations.
I love running this type of contest simply because it makes folks be imaginative, and think outside the box.
Creating a form I understand takes time to get it just how you want it.
The poems/poets were chosen for awards was done so, based on the request of the contest. Award those who fulfilled the more difficult the challenge in the said positions.
Short of just cancelling the contest--I did want to award those who took the extra time for me, therefore you'd would reap some benefit to your 'hard work.'
Please keep in mind -- about creating a form -- Maybe I might try this contest again later in the year.
Thanks again for your support -- I'm sorry it didn't turn out quite the way I'd hoped.
