Gibran Khalil Gibran جبران خليل جبران
Gibran (1883-1931) is one of my favorite Poets of all the times. Gibran is an Arab American artist, poet, writer, philosopher and theologian. Gibran have so much depth in his words. I read most of his books in Arabic ‘and some in French’ at very young age and only for the last few years I got a chance to read a lot of his works in English. It was so interesting to me to read his books in different languages.
So please get inspired by one of Gibran's Quotes below and write me beautiful lines. I personally like free verse but any form or style is welcome. No more than 40 lines..I personally get bored from long poems unless it is stunning piece!

11. Generosity is not giving me that which I need more than you do, but it is giving me that which you need more than I do.
Kahlil Gibran
12. I have learned silence from the talkative, toleration from the intolerant, and kindness from the unkind; yet, strange, I am ungrateful to those teachers.

I love Gibran!!!
I discovered him when I was quite young, gifted with one of his favorites...The Prophet...then I searched on for more and own quite a lot of his work. I've always admired his "spirit" and YOU are blessed to have read his work in words other than English...great contest-it's a bit late for me to enter now, but I'll try!!! Thanxxx for the reference page about his life! Blessings
