Not For The Weak III

Exactly what the title implies.

 

If you're searching for monosyllabic comments, or the sugarcoated "that was awesome", then this contest is not the place for you.

 

Also, judging is blind, or completely anonymous. I don't want to know who you are, nor do I care. I judge poetry, not authors or their situations. 

 

I want poetry that [is]:

-under 20 lines
-gritty
-dark
-raw
-full of imagery
-WILL HIT ME LIKE A PUNCH IN THE FACE!

 

Anyone who can combine these in an interesting, yet coherent manner will most likely win gold.

I DO NOT want poetry that [is]:

-over 20 lines
-riddled with poor spelling/grammar
-cliched; that means NO EMO OR DIRTY-PRETTY GARBAGE!
-encourages self-harm, rape, or abuse of anyone/thing
-happy, sappy fluffy-bunny-type stuff.

Anyone who breaks these rules will be DQed without warning.

Awards will be added or subtracted, depending on the quality of the entries received.

Prewrites will stay open for now, but I prefer fresh writes, and will DQ those who abuse the privilege. Laura giveth, and Laura taketh away!

 

I WILL COMMENT ON ALL ENTRIES UPON CONTEST CLOSING. ANYONE WHO ASKS ME WHETHER OR NOT I HAVE COMMENTED ON YOUR WORK YET WILL BE DQed WITHOUT QUESTION!

Also, NO WHINING OR HARASSING ME IF I DQ YOU OR LEAVE A CONSTRUCTIVE CRITIQUE ON YOUR POEM! ANYONE WHO DOES THIS WILL BE BANNED FROM MY FUTURE CONTESTS. I CAN'T STAND SORE LOSERS, AND WILL NOT TOLERATE POOR SPORTSMANSHIP!

    I found myself giggling halfway through your description/rules. You sound so mean! Anyways, I'm just going around contests to see if any can inspire me. I'm in the mood to write, but I don't know what. *sigh* Anywho, good luck with your contest! Sounds like fun...lol.

      Lol... I'm not as big a meanie as the contest rules might sound... Honest! I'm just brutally honest, and the description is just to scare away the people who are looking for praise and monosyllabic comments I do hope to see you enter!
