Contest is Over

  • Contest was judged on July 26
  • Rewards: Gold: 300, Silver: 200, Bronze: 100, Honorable mention: 2 people
  • Final notes:
This was so hard to judge. I said I would keep my mind open and I did. You all delivered something different and I thoroughly enjoyed each one.

Gold- Was just clever all around and had its on Byron-like quality to it. If you really dig into it, it's an awesome read. Well done!!

Silver- Darrrrrrk, powerful and intelligently written! Wonderful job!

Bronze- This poet challenged herself and came out with something fun...was quite the unexpected treat for me.

HM1- Fantastic imagery and chilling! Great job!

HM2- Dripping with wisdom and humor. Wonderfully written.

I love you guys so much and will miss you. Thank you for making this, while a small contest, a GREAT one!! Congrats to you all!!!!!

    Love,
    Ashley

That is like the hardest Bryon you could ever ask a modern person to write for who is not familiar to what Byron himself was contemporary too. So of course I love it. hehehehe

I wonts drop out I promise. I am up for the challenge even though it will suck lol.
  • WTF?
have you SEEN how long that thing is????
I lost it half way through .... sigh!

can I take a portion of it and write something? I've now tried 3 times to read it and I'm battling terribly
may I take inspiration from a portion that stood out for me please?

    kewl bananas!
    ~whew~
I got worried there for a moment!!!!

thanks ... and pray do tell, why would people pull out?
From those bits I read (and actually took in!) it seems like a REALLY good one!

    ~nodding head vehemently~
yep yep yep ... I agree ... yeah, the write is a tad controversial, but it's REALLY good and filled with inspiration! (I guess it also doesn't help with the concentration thing when there's people walking in and out my office all the time!)
I'll do what I can for you Ash ... I have found one or two parts there that are just SHOUTING at my hulk of a duse (dude and muse mixed)
    thanks my friend

am working on it as we speak
  • I've actually never read anything of Byron's before. But I'll dig deep and give it my best shot!
  • <

I'll put my muse to the grindstone and see what we come up with. It may be crap, it may not. We'll see!
  • I think I'm going to have to withdraw. I'm finishing up summer school and am president of the psychological honor society at school. We're trying to process applications and prepare for meetings and our induction ceremony this fall so I'm little swamped right now. Forgive me?
