Contest #100 Beat the Heat by daviscth

With summer in full swing, I thought it would be the perfect time to cool off with some Autumn/Thanksgiving and winter/Christmas poems. In honor of this being my 100th contest, I will be accepting 100 entries. I do have a few rules for this one though.

1. You may enter as many as you like but please DO NOT submit any I have commented on before. I won’t remove them, but they most likely won’t win either.

2. This is an anonymous contest so I won’t know if I give more than 1 trophy to the same person. If this will upset you, please don’t enter.

3. I WILL NOT be awarding applause for this contest.

4. I prefer the upbeat feel good kind of pieces. So go for it. Make me wish we had a foot of snow and it was time for the holidays. Most of all, enjoy yourself.

PLEASE NOTE: I usually do not check the new poetry list when I am doing contests. If any of my favorites, (and you guys know who you are) have any for me to read, please take a moment to send the link.

Contest is Over

  • Contest was judged on July 15
  • Rewards: Gold: 400, Silver: 200, Bronze: 100, Honorable mention: 12 people
  • Final notes:
You all have no ideal how much enjoyment I’ve gotten from your wonderful entries. This was very hard to judge. There are so many worthy of a golden cup. Everyone of these entries deserve to be read. They’re awesome.

The Hm’s are not in any order.

Thank you all for taking time out to help me beat the heat and to make this contest a success. Love, Cathy.
