Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on July 10, 2008
- Rewards: Gold: 600, Silver: 400, Bronze: 300, Honorable mention: 2 people
- Final notes: Thank you all for some great entries. I really enjoyed reading them. I hope that my comments conveyed what I intended. Too often, judges seem to just say "Gosh, great poem" or something else inane; I just wanted to offer some constructive criticism. All the poems are good, each in their own unique way. The winners:
Gold:Secretive Smile...great message, wonderful rhyme, great opening and closing.
Silver:Behind the Veil....wonderful rhyme and rhythm, great structure, a joy to read.
Bronze:Trust Issues:Uh......what can I say? This was hilarious. I loved reading this poem. (but you do sound as vindictive as my ex-wife).
HM:Eyes,Set Her Free: You put some deep thought into this poem, and I loved the sentiments.
HM:Under The Radar: Pithy and original.
