Hello everyone.
We appreciate it that you have taken a moment of your precious time to check our contest. We both hope to get lots of top quality poems in this contest.
Know all those cliche poems that all sound the same? About love, death, heartbreak, abuse, etcetera, using the same expressions? You figured it, that’s not what we want here.
Know all those beautiful poems about personal experiences that everyone relates to, but seen in a new light? Those that sound unique and creative, which use poetic devices that make them clever and aesthetic and which are at the same time so relatable? Well, in this contest, we’re not looking for that either.
What we want is what goes unwritten. The small things that aren’t related to big existential themes that everyone tries their hand (and pen) at. Just think about your day... what is that apparently insignificant, lovely or even obnoxious thing you do every day but think nothing of? The thing that doesn’t remind you of your lover, make you shiver with fear, or make you understand life. That thing that just is.
Put that thing into poetry for us and show that life & poetry are miraculous even when there’s nothing special to see beyond what meets the eye.
However, do not be mistaken. We still want a lot of creativity, poetic devices, and unique styles.
Think you’re up to it? We hope to read your work soon. You know, critique it, give it some trophies and that

my title is the pwnies

Well yes of course.
I think I'll write about love and use the word "rose" and "paradise" and "love" and "kisses"...See I read your contest guidelines well.
Seriously though, good idea. I'm not entering, for obvious reasons, but good idea.

What do you mean you're not entering? And who will write that unique love poem with the word roses in it then, hmm? Seriously though, glad you like the idea and if you change your mind, you're welcome here
-
-
I couldn't possibly enter this. I promised myself no more posts from me for a few weeks...I want my stuff to sort of sit and turn moldy that is here..
I have to focus on my poems off the site for awhile as well. I guess I could pull it off, yes, but besides me, who will?
But if I do change my mind, I just might.

Enter it via IM to me and I'll give you points under the table
.

LOL. I'd call it, if I wrote it: "how to suck at english and poetry".
Points under the table...Pass me something else under the table.

I have another poem that I made thinking of this contest, can I enter it or is it just one entry per poet?

One entry per poet please
.

Sounds like a great contest. I think I'll enter... once I've gotten some good words on paper.
