It looks like rhyme and meter are too difficult for today's lazy poets! lol like, "give me instant gratification with my writing" or "I just want to cry and whine in my beer (insert vogue alternative)... I don't need the points, the trophies are an incentive, but most importantly there is the meeting of a rhyme and verse challenge... maybe another ghazal somewhere, they can be quite beautiful...

  You know, I am really glad you posted this. Just what I needed. I had a person complain earlier that I was hosting too many contests and being a contest hog... You've got it exactly right. There aren't enough rhyme and meter contests. I do hope there will be more people daring enough to enter though.
