I think this works. I find comparing skill on emotions really drew the individuals within this one - I adore the conception on many peoples choice to quill.

Want & need are separated by a dictionary meaning.
& everyone has an ego - we are just measuring them here.

    "meaningless"...?

Some are ancouraging athletes to wear orange in Bejing for the 8-8-8 olympics -it is the colour of Tibet.
    Can the Reds ban orange?!

But the context I use it in is meaningless.
Everything means something but not everyone gives a meaning to things.

I don't think colours can do much these days.

NO...I understand you are giving your entrants free reign to their imaginations. It was just, an hour or two before I saw your contest I'd read this about how something as random and banale as a colour can stir up human emotions in many levels.
Best wishes for an interesting contest!

A large thank-you to the judge for an excellent contest. A silver is very gratefully received, there are a lot of superb poets here.
