Now we are down to just the amazing poets time to get with the themes.
Okay so here is the deal for round 2.
I want you to stick with the general theme of either Secrets or Lies or both.
Now I want something creative and not the same old same old. You can expand on the idea, make a happy poem, a sad poem, an angry poem. Whatever you like just keep it within the theme.
Here is the extra special love that i will give you for round 2.
I want you guys to write me a second poem, this one has to be about risks or regrets or both.
Now I want you to try and write me both.
But i also want your opinion.
So answer me these questions (comment to this contest)
1. Do you want me to judge both poems and combine them to see if you go to the next round
2. Would you rather I picked the poem i liked better and judge you on that one.
3. Do you think i should only make you write one and have two options for it
4. Anything else??
DO NOT FORGET TO PUT YOUR USERNAME IN THE NOTES!! Please&thanks.
The rules
-Obviously this contest is for the people who won round one. So make sure you did that
-I want you to write your username and the poem that you entered in the last contest. Cause I am a curious cat and it makes things less confusing, especially with the second poem. I promise I will still keep it fair
The rules for the poems.
-keep them within a reasonable length if possible. I don't exactly like reading book sized poem unless they are written by Ellen Hopkins. And even she writes a million small poems to make a book
-If you rhyme you better be able to do it right. I probably already came down on some of you for pressured lines and lines for the sake of rhyme. Don't be at it. Or at least try your best not to.
-I like good spelling and reasonable amounts of grammar. I won't ill-judge your poem for it but I will pick at you to fix it!
-
there are probably more.. but I will post them as they come up.
Oh you have until Monday! If anyone needs more time message me and if you have a good reason I will extend!

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on August 20, 2008
- Rewards: Gold: 300, Silver: 100, Bronze: 50, Honorable mention: 4 people
- Final notes: Okay I am so very sorry that this took so long. Honestly i got caught up with stuff in my life and forgot about it. Anyway what i did was with the winners and HM's I only put one of your poems in the finalists list. Really being there means that both poems were fantastic and I assure I do not have much of a preference for one or the other i just put in the one that I saw first.
So this will be the last round as I believe that most of you have moved on. If you wanted I could have a finalist round but I understand you not wanting to.
Congrats everyone!!

1. Do you want me to judge both poems and combine them to see if you go to the next round... If two poems are required then they should be both judged and scores added together
2. Would you rather I picked the poem i liked better and judge you on that one... no IF 2 poems are required we should be scored on both
3. Do you think i should only make you write one and have two options for it.... I think this is the best option but not my contest
4. Anything else?? nope

I think i may keep it the way it is.
Thanks for your opinion

1: I agree with The Unknown Poet - if you would like us to write two poems then logically we should be judged on two poems

2: I don't think so - kind of the same as question one...
3: This is up to you - I, personally, would have asked people to place the two poems in the one post with a divider... makes it easier if you are judging both
but it is up to you
4: Thank you for letting me get to this stage

1. Do you want me to judge both poems and combine them to see if you go to the next round
I don't mind.
2. Would you rather I picked the poem i liked better and judge you on that one.
Yes, I prefer this.
3. Do you think i should only make you write one and have two options for it
To be honest, I don't think I'll have the time to write to poems because I'm doing exams this week
but I will try.
4. Anything else??
Do we enter the two poems separately or as one piece? Also, is it okay if I reserve and then come back later?
♥ Jojo -
-
It is okay to reserve spots but there are enough spots for everyone to write two.
And I think that I will get you to enter them as seperate poems.

1. Do you want me to judge both poems and combine them to see if you go to the next round? Since you are requiring two poems, that would be logical.
2. Would you rather I picked the poem i liked better and judge you on that one. No if you are requiring two, one should not be discounted in any way.
3. Do you think i should only make you write one and have two options for it? It's your contest. Personally, I think it makes it difficult to judge the more wrinkles you add.
4. Anything else?? Thank you for allowing me to be a finalist - RedAquarius (A Hard Sunset - Round 1). -
1. Do you want me to judge both poems and combine them to see if you go to the next round
-as in get a mean score (ie. 50/60 makes 55 in mean language) yeah sure, whatever way you would like to judge it, I'm easy going.
2. Would you rather I picked the poem i liked better and judge you on that one.
again, it's totally up to you.
3. Do you think i should only make you write one and have two options for it
nah, writing two is absolutely fine, I love writing.
4. Anything else??
nopes. -
1. Do you want me to judge both poems and combine them to see if you go to the next round. naw just judge one at a time
2. Would you rather I picked the poem i liked better and judge you on that one. yes
3. Do you think i should only make you write one and have two options for it. no
4. Anything else?? nope -
Just a thought - have you tried attempting to read your page in a sunny room or bright lights? Impossible. Some more thought needed on selection of font colours, pretty is not enough is it?
-
-
I can read it perfectly. In any light. and the color selector on allpoetry said it was all good. maybe it is your coputer color settings

1. Do you want me to judge both poems and combine them to see if you go to the next round.
Probably judge on both, score each individually then take the average score.
2. Would you rather I picked the poem i liked better and judge you on that one.
It would be better to judge on both as the poets are taking the time to write 2 new poems it would only be fair to judge them both.
3. Do you think i should only make you write one and have two options for it.
It is your contest so really your choice on how to run it, by entering we accept whatever conditions and options you set.
4. Anything else??
Nothing I can think of
-
In response to your above questions, I'd prefer to write just one poem and be given 2 options, or to write 2 poems on one page that combine into one poem and that incorporate both options. I believe it would make it easier to judge that way and not place so much onus on the people who aren't online alot due to other commitments.

and where do we stand in this contest/rounds?
