Right. My excuse for this is that I've been here for two years now, this will be my anniversary party.
So, I bestow upon thee options - although ultimately, you can enter whatever you want, as long as you read the rules at the end. This is just what I would like to see people write about.
1. Write about Oscar Wilde or Sylvia Plath. I'm not asking you to write in their styles, I'm asking you to write about them, or an aspect of their personality. Not a biography. I have those already
2. I'm sure we've heard them all now. "What heals me kills me", "quod me nutriet, me destruit"... thing is, this can be taken in so many ways. Give me the obvious, give me the abstract, just tell me about what it is to you.
3. Give me the truth. I love the truth when it's well written. For example, Grey's Anatomy. Girl, Interrupted. Girl Walking Backwards.
(Just a good example... "We like to think that we are rational beings; humane, conscientious, civilized, thoughtful. But when things fall apart, even just a little, it becomes clear we are not better than animals. We have opposable thumbs, we think, we walk erect, we speak, we dream, but deep down we are still routing around in the primordial ooze; biting, clawing, scratching out an existence in the cold, dark world like the rest of the tree-toads and sloths." - Grey's

4. Say goodbye to something that was barely even there.
5. Give me honesty. It hurts sometimes. ("We lie to ourselves because the truth... the truth freakin hurts") Sometimes it's a relief. Sometimes you wonder why you say it. But I'm giving you an excuse. Let it out.
6. Rent. Enough said

I don't mind if you don't categorise your writes, UNLESS IT'S ADULT. I know a lot of sensitive people out there who despise it when they click on a poem that doesn't get filtered through the adult content filter.
Give me something different. I don't like rhyme most of the time, but if you think you can impress me, go ahead.
No plays, please. I don't know why, but I keep getting given scripts... nobody else seems to be getting this problem.
