Hello everyone!!!
Basically, I just felt like having a contest and I'm brain-dead for good topics. So...I thought I'd let you choose that. I'm looking for any poems (good or bad, long or short, rhyming or free-verse, trophy-winner or not, WHATEVER!) that you feel like entering.
I'll put this warning up now though: I may not get around to judging for a while - it really all depends on how much free time I get. With my last contest, I hardly had any free time when it came for judging time, and I felt really bad about it, so this is a fair warning. I repeat: I MAY NOT GET AROUND TO JUDGING AS QUICKLY AS YOU MIGHT LIKE.
Anyway, now that that's said, here are the:
Rules:
1) nO sTiCkY cApS
2) No txt spk (unless trying to get a point across with it in the poem)
3) No erotica - that's the only genre I won't take
4) No bashing of other poets/poems
5) Author's Notes are not required, but I like having them to read just to get a better feel for why you wrote the poem
6) Any genre (other than erotica) is accepted - that means suicide, love, cutting, emo, gory (blood and guts), anything. Sad, happy, I don't really have a preference.
7) HAVE FUN!
PS: I comment on each poem formally, so that's why it may take a while and if I get enough entries (and therefore, more points by commenting) I'll raise the prizes and add more HM's.
And because everyone is wondering and I forgot to include it here: YOU MAY ONLY ENTER ONE TIME. This is to avoid one person winning all or multiple prizes and it also lets everyone have an equal chance at winning. Thanks!

Please take plenty of time over your judging... I have discovered a way of circumventing the horribly brief 3 week limit that Allpoetry considers is sufficient for judging... You just open the competition again for a few minutes and alter the closing date to whatever is currently your "yesterday".

Sorry about that, I forgot to include it. You may only enter once, that way nobody ends up winning all or multiple prizes and everyone gets the same chance at winning.
