Please be inspired from this :
"We never know how high we are
Till we are called to rise;
And then, if we are true to plan,
Our statures touch the skies."

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on May 31
- Rewards: Gold: 300, Silver: 75, Bronze: 50, Honorable mention: 1 people
- Final notes: I have decided to judge this seeing that I wouldn't be getting a lot of enteries and that's ashame but not everyone loves Emily!
The Gold is really very beautiful and I encourage you all to read it.
The Second Winner will give you a laugh but at the same time you'll be able to relate with it.
The third winner is another beautiful piece that leaves your imagination dancing.
The honorable mention leaves a wonderful feeling of hope at the end and you can almost feel yourself flying.
I would like to thank everyone that entered this contest. I enjoyed reading everyones poems.

Dear Emily, I write to say
that - having read the news today -• Commented on by judge. [remove] -
And there - at bleak of night
when song escapes• Commented on by judge. [remove] -
Toward the firmament ascend
rise above mere mortal existance,• Commented on by judge. Prewrite [remove]

I have an old Emily Dickinson-inspired piece I wrote a couple years back, though am unsure if it would work here. Eh, I suppose you can read it and figure that out for yourself.

I'm Nobody! Who are you? (260)
by Emily Dickinson
I'm Nobody! Who are you?
Are you – Nobody – too?
Then there's a pair of us?
Don't tell! they'd advertise – you know!
How dreary – to be – Somebody!
How public – like a Frog –
To tell one's name – the livelong June –
To an admiring Bog!

I love that one

You're very much welcome
