Poem From Emily Dickinson

Please be inspired from this  :

"We never know how high we are
Till we are called to rise;
And then, if we are true to plan,
Our statures touch the skies."

~ Emily Dickinson ~

You can write in whatever it inspires you but please keep it under 50 lines or try.

I am allowing prewrites but the prewrite must be inspired from the quote.

I'll judge this whenever I get a good amount of quality poetry.

    Hekate!!
Lord, I'm so used to seeing 'kaleidoscope'...what a change...great contest.
  • I have an old Emily Dickinson-inspired piece I wrote a couple years back, though am unsure if it would work here. Eh, I suppose you can read it and figure that out for yourself.

I'm Nobody! Who are you? (260)
    by Emily Dickinson

    I'm Nobody! Who are you?
Are you – Nobody – too?
Then there's a pair of us?
    Don't tell! they'd advertise – you know!

How dreary – to be – Somebody!
    How public – like a Frog –
To tell one's name – the livelong June –
    To an admiring Bog!
