Hola everyone!
I decided to do another contest while my first is still going on.
So this one is simple, Its a photo prompt.
Above is a picture I took at the railroad tracks near my grandparent's farm in South Dakota. Use the photo and let your imagination go and take me somewhere amazing!
I will comment on all of your poems after the contest has ended.
a few rules:
1. 15 line max, don't go over. I love brevity.
2. I may add more trophies depending on # and quality of entries
(thats not really a rule but its important)
3. credit photographer, [me] Sailor Ptolema
4. I would like you to comment on others poems in this contest...its more a request than a rule
5. BE original, catch my eye.
Kay...
on your marks, get set, GO!

- Rewards: Gold: 301, Silver: 100, Bronze: 50, Honorable mention: 12 people
- Final notes: It was really hard to decide for this contest! You ALL had such heartfelt poems, and made each your own! I read everyone's at least 3 times
Thanks to all for entering my contest!!!!
It was so hard to choose, so I decided to give lots of HMs
But the winners really stood out:
gold: you tell a beautiful story, full of pride for these trains that helped build america, and pride for the country. It touched my heart deeply
silver: a superbly unique take! You looked the picture and took it in a wonderfully surprising direction! I love that its about a ghost train. It gave it such a hauntingly sad quality...I thoroughly enjoyed reading it
bronze: I love the mischievous quality about it, which people sneaking on ..and I adored your use of onomatopoeia! Your poem was so full of visual and auditory imagery, I could picture it clearly in my mind.
and to all the others, You all such great poems, so I just had to give you HMs!
Once again, thanks a million for entering!
