Quickie- Closes After 15 Entries

Take this anyway you want, just make it good.  I want something delectable, splendid, very pleasing to the senses.  I am not looking for a run of the mill poem here.  I am tired of the same ol', same ol' stuff.  Dazzle me.  Shock me.  Knock my socks off.

Your prompt is:

I'll be the dream that keeps you awake.

This contest will close after 15 entries.

No line or word limit.

If you wish to reserve a space, please feel free to do so but be sure you are able to return with an entry.

You know the rules.

Post your work accordingly, play nice and have fun.

Honorable mentions are always a possibility even though I do not have them listed at this time.

Off with you now, time is wasting.

Contest is Over

  • Contest was judged on June 4
  • Rewards: Gold: 400, Silver: 200, Bronze: 100, Honorable mention: 6 people
  • Final notes:
I expected some good entries here, but I never thought I would find the mixture of thoughts and ideas that you all have brought to this contest. To say that I was pleased is a serious understatement and even those who were not awarded a trophy are worthy of deep praise and appreciation. You are all awesome poets in my eyes!

Now I can't get the original song out of my head! How can I write poetry with "There ain't no gettin' over me" buzzing my brain?!~

    • We celebrated my daughter's 21st birthday out on the town Saturday night and that song was requested something like 6 times and I danced with somebody different each time. It has been stuck in MY head for two days now.
  • challenge accepted...

    now where's my pen....?
  • Wow, thanks for the Silver and congrats to the other winners lol
