Hey everyone! Yeah, I know...its been a while...but school's about out...so I can finally run another contest
This will be a reservation contest ONLY.
I'm allowing 50 people, tops, and no less than 15 to enter.
If you arent one of the first 50, I'm sorry, you wont be allowed to enter. If there arent 15 who enter...I apologize beforehand, I will close the contest.
Without futhur adieu...
TOPIC:
Once you enter the contest, in order to reserve a spot (just enter a 'new poem', that says 'Reserved' or something), I will comment on it with a single word. This word you will then write your poem on.
I will check all poems at the closing of the contest.
Simple right?
Guidelines:
1) nO StIcKy CaPs or ALL CAPS...I don't mind creative expression, or emphasis of a certain word or phrase, but I don't want a headache.
2) No bashing other poems, religion/belief systems/customs, programs/objectives, or people, (Automatic DQ) (I suggest that you critique the other entries, it's nice. Its by no means required, and will not influence my end judgment)
3) No erotica. Passion, though, is fine.
4) Cussing is allowed, but keep it minimum.
5) YOU GET WHAT YOU GET. All words will be assigned randomly (I have the words already, and I will go down the list as people enter). If you dont believe you can be inspired by the word, you may ask for another one. I will let you know weither I've decided to allow members to have a chance at a second word. If, by chance, I do send you another word...that truly is your last. Anyone who does not wish to enter poems on a given word, do not have to enter...they can simply pull out of the contest. No two members will have the same word. You may not exchange words.
6) Don't like my rules, leave.
7) The entry MUST be in ENGLISH, unless it's translated.
8) All entries must be marked appropriately.
9) The entry MUST be a poem, any form, though I prefer rhyme. If you really think you have a non-poem that is worth being in here, IM me, and I'll let you know if you may enter it.
10) Please make sure the entry is edited correctly, I don't want to be reading a bunch of typos, or trying to decode phrases or weird punctuation (or lack of).
Any comments, suggestions, or questions, feel free to IM me...
Also, just to clarify, if you dont know what your word means, or like to see it in a sentence, you can ask me, or look it up on Dictionary.com
Furthurmore, YES IT IS OK TO CHANGE THE WORD'S TENSE. Example: Swim can be used in context as Swimming, Swam, etc. No, its not required you have the word literally in the poem, but it must be the topic. (I.E. If you do an ode, feel free to describe it...you dont need to spell it out, as long as we get the big picture
)
NOTE: I don't mean to OFFEND anyone, so if somehow the contest content, topic, or pic bother you, IM ME IMMEDIATLY, so we may work it out...thank you.
I'll be commenting on every entry, if I can...though I DO reserve the right to DQ, or not comment on any I please (if it comes to that, you may IM me for justification, but I doubt it will come to it, but this is a precaution).
I also reserve the right to edit and or add to rules and regulations, dates, and awards (I will most likly add more places/points, depending on amount of entries).

Sorry it took a bit of time...as it happens, one of the people never posted a poem ...I would wait for them, but the contest ended 3 days ago.

Congratulations to:

2nd~ Eyelets Laced With Love
3rd~ Moments, seconds, memories, hours (my word was TIME)
And to the 2 Honorable Mentions...

I hope to see you all in the future.

Wait. So.. Your entry MUST have the word you give us IN it, correct?
Or does it just have to be about it?
