Master

Master
They say you aren’t real
and I wonder sometimes~
how you feel about that

It seems that your work
which is put on display
does not say enough.
My weak designs
built faultily, gain praise
from the same ones
who don’t even notice yours
though passing by daily~
I could never
hope to compete.
I built the furniture,
you made the tree.

They say you aren’t real
preferring their own
creations to yours.

I don’t understand.

1. I am looking for replies to this poem. I would prefer roughly the same length (unless they really grab my attention).

2. They do not have to be from the same perspective or faith, but they must be respectful of others.

3. Obviously no bashing, crude language or eroticism. I reserve the right to DQ without explanation.

4. points will be added as I get them.

5. You may enter only two poems, one prewrite after one new poem.

Contest is Over

  • Contest was judged on June 1, 2008
  • Rewards: Gold: 300, Silver: 100, Bronze: 75, Honorable mention: 6 people
  • Final notes:
An early end to the contest due to time constraints.
I had a hard time deciding the winners. I am very pleased with the way each of you handled the challenge. As a result, it came down to a somewhat subjective decision. In the end, everybody gets something. Congrats on all the great writes.

are you allowing more than one write submitted? I'd like to write something fresh, plus give you something recently done

I will allow one of each

I'll edit the contest to allow one new write and one prewrite. This will mean maximum 30 poems in total for the contest.
